Text Box: CampusAccess—What is it? 1. What is Campus Access and how can it benefit my business? The Campus Access is Indiana University's debit card program that began as a discretionary spending program for the convenience of students, faculty, and staff. Under the program, anyone with a University ID, is able to purchase goods and services at participating locations. Funds are deposited into accounts through personal deposits made over the web or at various deposit stations located on campus. 2. How many students use Campus Access? Every student, faculty and staff are given a Campus Access automatically. Usage amongst students usually runs about 10-14000 per month during the normal school year with this number growing each year. How Do I get started? 3. What do I need to do to get started? A. First complete and return the enclosed Merchant Application form. B. After approval, we will mail you a legal agreement; sign and return the agreement. C. Purchase your VeriFone credit card reader and printer. D. Call 855-4330 to schedule the technician who will program your VeriFone reader and train your staff. The $300 fee is due at this time. 4. How long will it take before I can begin accepting Campus Access? There are several steps in the process of becoming a Campus Access vendor before you can begin accepting Campus Access. It is reasonable to expect to begin accepting Campus Access within 2-3 weeks of turning in your application. Equipment 5. Where do I obtain the VeriFone equipment? Check with your bank or financial institution where you do business. Some merchants may already have the equipment that’s required, or your bank may let you trade for the correct VeriFone readers. How much does the VeriFone equipment cost? Recent prices for new equipment were: Tranz 330 for $225, Tranz 380x2 for $320; and the VeriFone 250 printer for $250. Refurbished equipment, Tranz 330 and Printer 250 combo for $220; Tranz 380x2 for $149 and Printer 250 for $115.
